Meet the friendly team at Livingwell Disability Resource Centre
I've been involved in the disability sector since 2005. Beginning in Invercargill with the Disability Resource Centre Southland. And from 2015 at Livingwell, Disability Resource Centre. I'm a member of the executive committee for The Federation of Disability Information Centres.
I value and enjoy people, sharing in their stories and journey and helping people source what they need to be informed and make choices that are right for them.

I began my journey in the sector as an aged care support worker. I have had the privilege to work with some amazing individuals who are striving towards their own personal goals. At the beginning of 2017, I started my role at Livingwell, Disability Resource Centre.
Having had my own personal experiences within the health system has helped me form an understanding of what it means to be vulnerable. And how community and social supports can help to enhance a good life.
I believe it’s the smaller things that make the biggest difference!

I started studying within the Health Sector in 2010 and graduated with a Bachelor of Midwifery in 2013. I enjoyed the satisfaction of supporting women and their whanau as a self-employed midwife in Dunedin and a core midwife in Balclutha; but decided on a career change to maintain a better work/life balance. I then worked 3 years as a Health and Disability Advocate supporting consumers experiencing difficulties within the Health and Disability Sector; which was an extremely rewarding role.
I am excited to join the team at Livingwell and embark in my new role as Mobile Service Coordinator. I look forward to bringing the mobile service to communities in the Otago region, providing free information and advice alongside equipment and daily living aids.
